Postal worker robbed at gunpoint

A U.S. postal service worker was robbed at gunpoint in Roseville on Tuesday, and law enforcement officials are warning residents in a ZIP code that their mail could be at risk. The Roseville Police Department said the robbery happened around 2:16 p.m. in the area of Mockingbird Street.

Orangevale gun store burglarized
August 01, 2024
At approximately 3:45 AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a gun store on Greenback Lane in Orangevale regarding a burglary in progress. The business owner was remotely monitoring a live video from inside the business when he reported an unknown individual running around inside and the front window having been broken out.
As Deputies arrived on scene they observed a vehicle parked in front of the business. The vehicle was empty and the responding Officers cleared the inside of the building, as the suspect(s) appeared to have fled prior to their arrival. Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and processed it for evidence. Detectives learned the suspects used a stolen vehicle to ram into the storefront window and gain entry into the business. The suspect(s) stole at least 25 firearms and fled in a different getaway vehicle. Detectives are seeking anyone with information regarding this incident or if they have information which could lead to the recovery of the stolen handguns.

At approximately 1800 hours on 06/18/2024, a black male entered the business located at 10300 block of Folsom Blvd. The male approached the clerk, produced a black handgun and demanded money from the register. The clerk and the male engaged in a brief struggle resulting in the male striking the clerk in the face with the firearm and fleeing. The clerk chased the male out of the store, continuing south through the parking lot. The male was observed on DOT video traveling east of Folsom Blvd to Coloma Rd before crossing Folsom Boulevard and continuing south across the pedestrian trail into the neighborhood south of Folsom Blvd.
The male is described by a witness as approximately 19-29 years old, tall, thin build. The male was observed wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white or gray jeans, a black mask, black shoes and a glove on his left hand.
DEATH INVESTIGATION/MISSING CHILDREN

On July 8, just before 7:30 p.m., Sacramento Police officers responded to the 3700 block of Didcot Cir for reports of a medical aid call. It was reported that a female adult was located inside of a residence, possibly deceased. The female was pronounced deceased on scene by fire personnel. Detectives from our homicide unit responded to conduct a death investigation. Through the investigation, detectives were unable to locate the decedent's two kids, 4-year-old Athena Lee and 2-year-old Mateo Lee, (both pictured below), as well as the children's father, Camron Lee.
UPDATE***
Locating Athena and Mateo are a top priority. Our investigation has lead us to know that the 2023 Honda Pilot entered Mexico. We are working with our law enforcement partners and the media to share this information as wide as we can.

AN ARREST HAS BEEN MADE
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, just after 2:45 p.m., Sacramento Police Department officers responded to the 7700 Block of Marin Avenue for reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers located a juvenile male with at least one gunshot wound. Officers performed life-saving measures until relieved by the Sacramento Fire Department. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where, sadly, he was pronounced deceased.

Ahmad Hempstead (4-27-72) was found on November 20, 2020, in the Phoenix Park Apartments deceased with a large knife/machete in his back. Hempstead was actively working on the remodel of one of the apartment units when he was found deceased in an Apartment on La Pera Court.
Homicide Detectives have limited leads on the case and are looking for the public's help in locating witnesses or suspects in this case.

On March 10, 2024, at approximately 12:27 PM, three unidentified Hispanic males entered Sam's Jewelry at 6027 Sunrise Mall, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. Upon making entry into the business, the suspects started to smash the glass display cases with hammers. They stole multiple trays of jewelry containing gold necklaces and diamond pendants, which were valued at over $200,000.
Suspect 1 is a Hispanic male adult who appears to be of medium build and has black facial hair. He wore a black hoodie, black pants with two white parallel lines running down the side, and red mechanic gloves.
Suspect 2 is described as a male adult of an unknown race wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black mask over his face.
Suspect 3 is described as a white or Hispanic male adult with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie with "Jordan" in white lettering on the front, black pants, white shoes, and red gloves on. Additionally, he was wearing a blue surgical mask on his face.

Edmonton Drive and Northstead Drive for a report of a shooting. At the scene, officers located one adult male inside of a vehicle who sustained at least one gunshot wound. Officers provided emergency medical aid to the victim. The Sacramento Fire Department arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital. Despite the life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

LOOKING FOR SUSPECTS WHO HAVE ROBBED CHEVRON AT 1828 BROADWAY FOUR TIMES!
On 12-21-23 Officers responded to the Chevron regarding a robbery at gun point that just occurred. Officers determined that two Black males, both 16-20 years old with white surgical masks, came into the store. One of the suspects produced a handgun and the other suspect went behind the counter and removed money from the cash register. Both suspects then fled on foot.
On 1-19-24 Officers responded to the Chevron regarding a robbery that occurred at gunpoint. Officers arrived and spoke with the clerk who stated that a male Black adult, 20-25 years of age, wearing a black ski mask and gray “Northface” hooded sweatshirt came in the store. This suspect produced a handgun and told the clerk to open the register. The suspect appears to be the same suspect from the December robbery based on his physical descriptors.
On 1-23-04 at 1209 hours the Sacramento Police Department responded to the Chevron regarding a robbery at gun point. Officers arrived and spoke with the clerk stated that a Black male in his 20’s walked in and produced a handgun. After the robbery the suspect fled on food.
On 1-23-24 at 1837 hours SPD responded to the Chevron regarding a robbery at gun point. Officers arrived at contacted the clerk, who stated that a 22-29 years old came into the store. The Black male produced a handgun and ordered the clerk to open the register. The suspect once again fled on foot. The suspect appears to be the same subject from the previous robberies.

Just before 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2023, Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the report of someone shot near the apartment complex on 7474 La Mancha Way in South Sacramento.
Deputies arrived on scene and discovered a male victim, identified as 29-year-old Kaelin Cason, aka Demi, who was unresponsive. Deputies began life-saving measures on the victim. Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful, and Kaelin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kaelin was unhoused and was known to stay in the tunnels located south of the apartment complex located at 7474 La Mancha Way, where he was murdered.

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, at about 7:10 PM, three young men were outside the Fast Stop Liquor Store at 5601 Wilkinson Road in Sacramento. Individuals in a vehicle drove by and fired at two victims.
One victim died from his wounds and the second is expected to survive.
Detectives need any and all information about this crime.

HOMICIDE - GANG SHOOTING GOVERNOR'S CIRCLE CS 23-074
November 28, 2023
At approximately 1:45 AM, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies assigned to the Central Patrol Division responded to a shooting at a nightclub venue on the 7000 block of Governors Circle in South Sacramento. Deputies discovered two adult males suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds and began life-saving measures. Two victims were deceased at the scene. One of the victims was the owner of the establishment.
Witnesses reported that the suspects may have fled in a white-colored vehicle shortly after the shooting. Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) patrolling nearby located the vehicle and detained the occupants inside.
Detectives learned a group of gang members were at the nightclub and were initially refusing to leave at closing time. Once employees could get all the patrons out of the venue, a fight involving those gang members ensued in the parking lot. During the fight, at least one of the gang members shot two individuals, who died at the scene. Detectives confirmed that the individuals detained in the vehicle stop were, in fact, involved with the shooting. They recovered multiple firearms, and the investigation will continue to determine appropriate charges. The suspects’ identities will be released once charges related to the homicide are filed, as permitted by law.

On 11/11/23, at approximately 0031 hours, Lo Angeles FD was dispatched to a fire at Alameda Street and the Interstate 10 freeway in the City of Los Angeles. The fire was determined to be incendiary (arson) and on State of California property. A person of interest was identified. He then left the immediate area, and his location is unknown.
The subject is describe as a male of unknown race, 30 - 35 years old, approximately 6', 170 - 190 pounds, with black hair. He was wearing blue shorts, black jacket, black backpack and was carrying a green scarf. The subject also had a knee brace on his right knee and appeared to have visible burn injuries on his left leg.

On October 13, 2023, at approximately 12:08 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of Fernandez Dr and 38th Avenue for a welfare check call. At the scene, officers located one adult male on the ground near the train tracks, who was not breathing and not conscious. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by responding medical personnel. During the investigation, the victim was found to have at least one gunshot wound.

On June 16, 2023, Jeremy Johnson, a subject experiencing homelessness, was murdered on the sidewalk on Mack Rd near Valley High Dr. Detectives are seeking the community’s assistance with any information regarding the homicide. Johnson was known to frequent the area with his brother, and they were often referred to as “twins”.

The shop said seven people got through a locked door and immediately grabbed the motorcycles.
The thieves rolled the bikes out the front door and loaded them in a U-Haul truck parked outside.

On April 8th, 2018, a fisherman discovered a bag of human remains while fishing off of a dock on the Mokelumne River in Isleton. After the initial investigation which involved using investigative genetic genealogy, detectives determined the remains were that of Raven Labit from Fayetteville Arkansas.
Raven was the victim of human trafficking. She spent time in Sacramento along Stockton Boulevard and Watt Avenue. She was also known to be in the Rancho Murietta and Sloughhouse areas.

On June 6, 2023, at 10:04 AM, a fire occurred at the "Shellfish building" at 2601 5th Street (5th Street and 1st Avenue).
Arson investigators are trying to identify a Black male adult in his 30's and described as 5'10" to 6' tall and weighing 150 pounds, was camped out in the doorway at the Northwest corner of the building for approximately two weeks. This suspect is responsible for setting fire to the building and causing significant damage. He was told by workers that he had to leave because they were fencing off the area and immediately after, he is seen lighting his own belongings on fire, which ended up involving the entire structure.
