HIT & RUN SPD 24-996673 CS 24-020

VEHICLE AND DRIVER LOCATED

On April 14, 2024, at approximately 5:23 PM, three victims were occupying a tent that was positioned on the east sidewalk of Dos Rios St, just north of North B St.

 

A 2007-2014 black Chevrolet Tahoe with custom wheels made the northbound turn from N 12th St onto Dos Rios St.  The driver then drove up onto the sidewalk and over the occupied tent, causing major blunt force trauma injuries to the victims. The driver then fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The vehicle has damage to front end, passenger side, and passenger side headlight.

HOMICIDE FRONT ST/MILLER PARK
April 10, 2024

CHP Officers are looking to interview a man in connection to a homicide that happened in a tunnel beneath Interstate 5 on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Police responded to the tunnel near the south end of Front Street, adjacent to Miller Regional Park, around 11 AM. A shooting left a 41-year-old man dead and his wife severely injured. Both victims are unhoused.

CHP said the area where the homicide happened is known to be inhabited by several residents.

After multiple interviews, detectives are now particularly interested in speaking with 63-year-old John Gavino, also an unhoused man who stays in the area.

Officials have not named Gavino as a suspect yet but are calling him a person of interest.

SHOOTING Rocklin PD 24-44 CS 24-019
March 27, 2024

On February 13, 2024, at approximately 10:15 PM, two gunmen opened fire on a Rocklin resident’s occupied home.

According to surveillance video, two subjects enter the victim’s gated community via a pedestrian walkway, produce handguns and begin shooting. They immediately fled. Both were wearing dark clothing and their identities are unknown. The suspects may have been driving a black Mercedes G-Wagon or similar SUV. 

Shortly after the shooting, video of the crime was posted online.  It is believed to be related to criminal gang activity.

BURGLARY Rocklin PD 24-78 CS 24-018
March 27, 2024

On March 18, 2024, between 3:00 and 3:30 AM, multiple subjects burglarized the Roseville Motorsports business in Rocklin. Six motorbikes were taken during the burglary.

They used a vehicle (a stolen Lexus out of San Francisco) to ram the front doors and loaded the bikes into a waiting stolen U-Haul out of Sunnyvale. They fled the scene in a separate Lexus (also stolen out of SF).

Subjects were all wearing head to toe black clothing and gloves.

Bikes are similar to those in the photos.

STRONG ARM ROBBERY Rocklin PD 24-84 CS 24-017
March 27, 2024

On March 24, 2024, at approximately 4:30 PM, three juvenile suspects approached a 71- year-old victim in the parking lot of 7-11 (West Oaks) and asked him for money.  When the victim took out his wallet, the subjects snatched it out of the victim’s hands and fled.  

One suspect was apprehended after a search was conducted.   

The trio was described as:

Suspect 1:  Black male, short black thinning hair (wearing a red wig/hat in the photo), gold chain, black t-shirt with white lettering on the back, tan patterned shorts, black socks, white shoes with red trim.  

Suspect 2:  White male, purple hooded sweatshirt with a graphic on the front and orange graphics on the sleeves, black pants, black and green shoes.

(Suspect 3-ARRESTED):  Hispanic male, black baseball hat with white writing, black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, black and blue shoes.

SHOPLIFTING CHPD 24-01816 CS 24-016
March 20, 2024

On March 9, 2024, at approximately 7:15 PM, two males walked into the store and loaded up a shopping cart full of 17 torque wrenches and sets. The two males walked out of the store without paying. They walked out to a bronze Ford, possibly an Expedition where a female was waiting to pick them up. They loaded the items into the car and drove off. The stolen tools were worth $2,754.83.

 

The female was white, 40-49 years old, short brown hair, and was wearing a gray sweater and gray sweatpants.

 

Male suspect #1 was White or Hispanic, 6'00", heavyset, 27-33 years old, and wearing a black beanie, glasses, an orange hoodie, and blue jeans.

 

Male suspect #2 was White, 5'7", slender, 27-33 years old, and wearing a gray jacket, black joggers, and Nike sneakers.

ROBBERY SPD 24-62219 CS 24-015
March 14, 2024

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 7:16 PM, the robbery suspect shown here was picked up from an RT bus located at Arden Way/Del Paso Blvd and dropped off at the Arden Fair Mall.

 

Upon arriving at the mall, he met with two other suspects who arrived on the property by foot. The three suspects walked into the mall wearing hooded sweatshirts, masks, and gloves. At approximately 7:45 PM, Zee Jewelers inside the Arden Fair Mall was robbed.  The three suspects used hammers to scare the employee and break the display cases. They stole approximately $160,000 worth of jewelry.

ROBBERY CHPD 24-01825 CS 24-014
March 13, 2024

On March 10, 2024, at approximately 12:27 PM, three unidentified Hispanic males entered Sam's Jewelry at 6027 Sunrise Mall, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. Upon making entry into the business, the suspects started to smash the glass display cases with hammers. They stole multiple trays of jewelry containing gold necklaces and diamond pendants, which were valued at over $200,000.
 
Suspect 1 is a Hispanic male adult who appears to be of medium build and has black facial hair.  He wore a black hoodie, black pants with two white parallel lines running down the side, and red mechanic gloves.

 

Suspect 2 is described as a male adult of an unknown race wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black mask over his face.

 

Suspect 3 is described as a white or Hispanic male adult with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie with "Jordan" in white lettering on the front, black pants, white shoes, and red gloves on. Additionally, he was wearing a blue surgical mask on his face.

HOMICIDE VENTURE ST SACRAMENTO CS 24-013
March 04, 2024

On Sunday, March 03, 2024, Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 6100 Block of Ventura Street for reports of a welfare check. While on scene, officers heard sounds of shots fired. Officers did not return fire, but set up a perimeter. Additional officers were requested and then officers began systematically searching the area for a suspect. The suspect was not located during that time. During the investigation, officers located a female adult with at least one gunshot wound. That female was pronounced deceased on scene by Sacramento Fire Personnel.

HOMICIDE BURBERRY WAY SPD CS- 012
February 20, 2024

On Sunday, February 18, 2024, just after 3:00 AM, Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 2300 Block of Burberry Way for reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers located one adult male with at least one gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were attempted, however they were not successful and the victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Fire personnel.
