Just before 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2023, Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the report of someone shot near the apartment complex on 7474 La Mancha Way in South Sacramento.

Deputies arrived on scene and discovered a male victim, identified as 29-year-old Kaelin Cason, aka Demi, who was unresponsive. Deputies began life-saving measures on the victim. Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful, and Kaelin was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Kaelin was unhoused and was known to stay in the tunnels located south of the apartment complex located at 7474 La Mancha Way, where he was murdered.

On Dec 7, 2023, around 11:34 AM, Sac PD officers responded to North Bend & Natomas Blvd for reports of a bicyclist hit by a vehicle. Officers located an adult male w/ significant injuries who later died. The involved vehicle fled prior to police arriving on scene.

November 29, 2023

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, at about 7:10 PM, three young men were outside the Fast Stop Liquor Store at 5601 Wilkinson Road in Sacramento. Individuals in a vehicle drove by and fired at 2 victims.

One victim died from his wounds, and the second is expected to survive.

Detectives need any and all information about this crime.

November 27, 2023

A woman was carjacked at gunpoint early Thursday morning in Sacramento County with her child still in the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials said the woman was at an ATM on 7050 Stockton Boulevard just before 6 a.m. when the carjacking happened.

The car was found shortly after in the area of Florin Road and Fawn Way with the child unharmed and still inside the car.

November 20, 2023

On November 15, 2023, at approximately 3:50 PM, at a business in the 5600 block of Pacific St, a male subject approached the pharmacy counter and committed a robbery using force or fear.

The alleged subject was described as a white male adult in his 30’s. He was wearing a white collared shirt with blue cuffs, khaki pants and flip-flop style sandals.

November 18, 2023

On 11/11/23, at approximately 0031 hours, Lo Angeles FD was dispatched to a fire at Alameda Street and the Interstate 10 freeway in the City of Los Angeles. The fire was determined to be incendiary (arson) and on State of California property. A person of interest was identified. He then left the immediate area, and his location is unknown.

The subject is describe as a male of unknown race, 30 - 35 years old, approximately 6', 170 - 190 pounds, with black hair. He was wearing blue shorts, black jacket, black backpack and was carrying a green scarf. The subject also had a knee brace on his right knee and appeared to have visible burn injuries on his left leg.

On September 25, 2023, at 7:46 PM, the victim was shopping at the SF Supermarket on the 6900 block of 65th Street. The suspect approached the victim and snatched her wallet from her hand. The suspect fled the scene on foot to an unknown location southwest of the shopping plaza.

The suspect is described as a Black male adult, 5' 6" - 5' 8" tall, with a medium build. He had short dark hair with a beard. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a Japanese-style design printed on the front, dark-colored jogging pants, and black shoes.

The Sacramento Sheriff's Office is seeking to identify two more suspects from a this video relating to a take-over robbery during a recent sideshow that occurred on Oct 8, 2023, at Rio Linda & Elkhorn Blvd in Sacramento.

October 20, 2023

On October 18, 223, at about 6:00 AM, a caller reported a person lying on Fruitridge Road in the Fruitridge Manor neighborhood. Officers went to Fruitridge Road and 65th Street Expressway and found an unresponsive woman who had been struck and was prounounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Jermi Cortez, 65.

There is no vehicle description.

BANK ROBBERY FBI 37895885 CS 23-067
October 19, 2023

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking to identify an unidentified individual who is wanted for robbing the Banner Bank located at 333 F Street in Davis, Calif. on June 15, 2023.

The subject entered the bank at approximately 4:40 PM with a black cloth face mask on. He passed a demand note to a teller and, after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, he departed the bank on foot.

The subject is described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male adult who stands approximately 5’8” with a medium build and dark hair. At the time of the robbery, the subject had a goatee and wore a black baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, white undershirt, black pants, and Converse-style black and white tennis shoes.
