MAY, 2010

 

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

 

  • The specific addresses of two people wanted for parole violation
  • The location and vehicle of a fugitive wanted for identity theft and using counterfeit checks
  • The location of a person wanted for auto theft
  • The identity and location of an individual who was selling cocaine and OxyCotin
  • The specific address of an individual wanted for counterfeiting

APRIL, 2010

 

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

 

  • Two tips provided the specific addresses of two people wanted for parole violation. 
  • Multiple tips were received concerning a suspect who was selling drugs in Orangevale; the information included vehicle descriptions and license plate numbers.  The suspect was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamines and violation of probation, and a second person was also arrested at the location.

 MARCH, 2010

 

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

 

  • The specific address of a person wanted for Domestic Violence assault and battery.
  • The phone number of a woman wanted for parole violation and failure to register as a sex offender. She had been in hiding for four months.
  • The address of a location where drug activity was occurring in the company of minors.  Officers responded to the address and made an arrest for possession of controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and parole violation.

FEBRUARY, 2010

 

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

 

  • The identity and subsequent arrest of a juvenile responsible for three robberies.
  • The location of a person wanted for selling narcotics and information that he was selling fake crack cocaine.  He was arrested on the outstanding charge and on new charges of selling drugs
  • The location of a suspect wanted for parole violation.  He was arrested within two hours of receiving the tip.
  • The identity and location of a woman wanted for burglary and fraud.
  • The location of a suspect wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

JANUARY, 2010

 

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

  • The location of a suspect wanted for felony assaults and robbery.
  • The name and location of a person wanted for robbing a jewelry store.  The suspect was arrested for this and a second robbery.
  • The name of a person wanted for bank robbery.  He was arrested in another city and confessed to the robbery.
  • The name of the person responsible for attempting to take a professional video camera from a KCRA vehicle.  He was arrested for auto burglary.
  • The specific location of a suspect wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. 

 DECEMBER, 2009

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

 

  • The arrest of a person wanted for Domestic Violence.  Based on several tips identifying where his vehicle had been spotted, surveillance was established, and he was arrested while attempting to drive away while under the influence of alcohol.
  • The location of a parole violator at a specific south area location. The person attempted to hide but was located by the K-9 Unit. 
  • The arrest of a parole violator. 
  • The recovery of a stolen Jeep.  Several Internet tips identified a person who was stripping a stolen vehicle in a residential garage in Fair Oaks.  Deputies went out on another call to that location the following day and were able to recover the partially stripped vehicle in the garage.

     NOVEMBER, 2009

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

 

  • The identity, description, and possible locations of a suspect involved in the murder of a young boy at a shopping center in Rancho Cordova.  Within hours, Sacramento Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detectives arrested the suspect for that homicide and additional crimes. 
  • The business location and working hours of a parole violator.  Officers went to the location and arrested the individual without incident.
  • The specific location of a person who failed to register as a sex offender.  The person was arrested at that location without incident.
  • The identity of a person wanted for Grand Theft at the Les Schwab Tire Store in Citrus Heights.  An arrest warrant has been issued.

 OCTOBER, 2009

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

  • The arrest of an individual wanted for robbery, vandalism, and violation of a domestic retraining order. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of various drugs and was preparing to “cook” a batch of Ephedrine.
  • The specific location of a Most Wanted person wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

SEPTEMBER, 2009

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

  •  A called reported a male attempting to break into a window of a downtown Sacramento building. Tip was forwarded to dispatch and a subject was arrested.
  • The address and specific vehicle of a parole violator wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.
  • The locations of two other parole violators in separate incidents. One of them resisted and K9 was deployed.
  • The name and location of a parolee at large living in Missouri.
  • Information identifying people dealing drugs in North Scramento. Suspect arrested, drugs and cash seized.

AUGUST, 2009

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

  • The location of a person who was wanted on a felony warrant for arson.
  • The identification of a suspect who broke into a local mortuary and stole a tractor and metal siding. Two suspects were subsequently arrested and the tractor was recovered.
  • The location of a Most Wanted Fugitive for failure to register as a sex offender
  • After posting a surveillance video, a car thief was identified and subsequently arrested.

JULY, 2009

Crime Alert Tips were responsible for:

  • The identification of two indiviuals who were selling narcotics and the confiscation of the narcotics.
  • The identificiation of a subject who was identified from surveillance video as an arsonist at a local school in Sacramento. Four suspects were identified and arrested.
  • The identification of a vehicle used to deal illegal narcotics. Two suspects were arrested, drugs, cash, a cell phone and the vehicle were seized.
  • The whereabouts & subsequent arrest of a known parole at large
